Dr. Allison German
Allison German graduated in Veterinary Science in 1997 from the University of Bristol. Since then, she has worked in private small animal practice, completed an MSc in Wild Animal Health and a PhD in feline retroviruses. She worked as a postdoctoral scientist in tropical zoonotic infectious disease at Liverpool University, prior to becoming the Cats Protection Lecturer in Feline Health and Welfare for six years. She currently works as an independent veterinary consultant, a first opinion small animal vet, an out-of-hours emergency and critical care vet, and holds an honorary research post at Liverpool University.
Her research interests are in feline infectious diseases, shelter medicine, rotavirus, parvovirus, zoonotic diseases and molecular epidemiology.
