Dr. Steven de Decker

Steven is a Senior lecturer and Head of Neurology & Neurosurgery service at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. After graduation from Ghent University in Belgium, he stayed on to complete an Internship and a 4-year PhD into the diagnosis and treatment of cervical spondylomyelopathy or “wobbler syndrome” in dogs. He moved to the United Kingdom in 2010 to start a residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), University of London. After becoming a board-certified specialist, he became a faculty member of the RVC Neurology and Neurosurgery team. Steven has a special interest in chronic spinal cord conditions and his research focusses mainly on spinal cord conditions and neurosurgery.
