Robert Favier
After completing the middle school in Goes (the Netherlands) in 1991 I studied veterinary medicine at Utrecht University (the Netherlands) and graduated in 1999. After graduating I followed a residency program in small animal internal medicine. In 2011 I successfully defended my PhD thesis on canine hepatitis and the pathomechanisms of copper-induced hepatitis in COMMD1 deficient dogs.  In my current position as assistant professor (department of clinical sciences of companion animals, internal medicine & hepatology) I combine clinical work in the hospital with teaching and research. My current research interests include canine
hepatology (in particular liver cell transplantations) and programmatic assessment in the clinical workplace.
